5 Ideas for Gift Exchange during Christmas Party
What is your favorite aspect of Christmas? Gift exchange or food? Many people would like to organize interactive activities to cheer the Christmas spirit at Christmas party.
Let’s try something different this year instead of the same gift exchange! During the Christmas party, these are the 5 ideas for a gift exchange session that will help you and your friends have a fun and unexpected Christmas!
Table of Contents
1. Reverse Secret Santa
Reverse Secret Santa is to find some items from home that are less useful to you (but must be in good condition) as Christmas gifts instead of buying new gifts.
This game not only adds fun and creativity but is also environmentally friendly. The main point of this game is also to achieve the benefits of recycling and reducing rubbish. Someone else may be in desperate need of the very item you don’t need.
2. Gift Auction with Fake Money
Firs, everyone brings a wrapped gift and receives an equal amount of play money at the start of the game. Then, gifts will be auctioned off. Participants will place their bids based on their gut feeling and the highest bid, without knowing what is on offer.
Receiving a mysterious gift in this way is full of excitement and surprise, and will certainly add a lot of laughter to the party.
3. Pass-the-gifts
This is a combination of games and gift exchange. Everyone brings a wrapped gift and sits in a circle. Gifts are passed around while holiday music plays. When the music stops, the person holding the gift keeps it. Then, repeat until everyone has a gift.
Deciding Christmas presents in this way is also full of surprises and excitement.
4. Themed Gift Exchange
It’s disappointing if you draw a gift that you don’t want or need. Avoid this scenario by limiting the range of gifts to a specific theme or category, for instance food, bags, books, etc. In this way, don’t need to be worried about getting a gift you don’t like!
Furthermore, to make it more fun, you can add on some mini-games to make some inverters. For instance, once the winner has the gift, they can use some games to make other people exchange gifts. So, even if you are aware of the kind of gift, the gift exchange is still exciting.
5. Gift Roulette
Each person takes a turn spinning the wheel to determine which gift they will receive. The number they land on corresponds to the numbered gift, which they then get to open. Drawing Christmas gifts in this way is just like an arrangement of fate. It will be tense and exciting but also would be full of laughter.
Share the new ideas of gift exchange with your friends or family now to have a fun Christmas party. However, when exchanging gifts, add a little game to make the party fun, memorable, and instantly heated up!
